Pakistan: 'Pakistani troops have clashed with tribesmen close to the border with Afghanistan, in a drive to root out fugitive Taleban and al-Qaeda members. In recent weeks Pakistan has conducted several operations against al-Qaeda and Taleban suspects believed to be hiding in the area. The US military is conducting a similar operation in Afghanistan.'
